Inauguration of Centre of Excellence for 3D Printing Technology at DRGCOP, Malkapur

Dr. Rajendra Gode College of Pharmacy, Malkapur, in collaboration with Thincr Technology Private Limited, Pune, inaugurated the first Centre of Excellence (3D Printing Technology Laboratory) in the Vidarbha region on 1st February 2026 with great enthusiasm. The inauguration was organized on the occasion of the Annual Cultural Gathering “KSHITIJ 2026.”

The Centre of Excellence was formally inaugurated by Hon. Shri Chainsukh Sancheti, MLA, Malkapur Assembly Constituency, through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon. Shri Yogendraji Gode, President of the Institution; Hon. Miss. Tanvitai Gode, Secretary (joined via video conferencing); and Dr. Sheetalkumar Zhambad, CEO of Thincr Technology Private Limited. The programme was presided over by Hon. Shri Yogendraji Gode. The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with a graceful welcome dance performed by students Ms. Anushka Narkhede and Ms. Purva Chambhare.

On this occasion, research-oriented faculty members and meritorious students of the college were felicitated by the dignitaries. Dr. Mahesh Narkhede, Dr. Mangesh Deokar, and Dr. Jaya Ambhore were honoured for being awarded the Ph.D. degree. Additionally, students securing top ranks at the university level were felicitated. A special felicitation was accorded to Ms. Aayushi Zope, a final-year student of the college, for her selection to the prestigious ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) Fellowship during the academic year 2025–26.

During the programme, Principal Dr. Prashant Deshmukh presented a detailed progress report of the institution. Academic Administrator Dr. Vaibhav Adhao highlighted the various academic, social, and student development initiatives undertaken by the college and shared insights into students’ overall academic progress.

While addressing the gathering, Hon. MLA Shri Chainsukh Sancheti highly appreciated the establishment of the new 3D Printing Technology Laboratory, stating that the launch of the first Centre of Excellence in Vidarbha at Malkapur is a matter of great pride. He emphasized that such advanced facilities would enable students from rural areas to compete successfully at the global level. He also lauded the organization of KSHITIJ 2026, praised the discipline and artistic talents of the students, and extended his best wishes for their bright future.

Chief Guest Dr. Sheetalkumar Zhambad guided students on the transformative role of 3D printing technology in the medical field and highlighted emerging research opportunities through the Centre of Excellence.

In his presidential address, Hon. Shri Yogendraji Gode encouraged students to make optimum use of the modern laboratory facilities to excel in research and innovation and conveyed his best wishes for their academic growth.

The programme was efficiently compered by Ms. Aayushi Zope and Ms. Aditi Khodre, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Mukesh Babhulkar, In-charge of the Annual Gathering. The successful organization of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students. It was also announced that a series of vibrant cultural programmes will be presented over the next two days as part of KSHITIJ 2026.
